About the role
- Design and administer Dell Data Domain and Avamar backup and recovery solutions.
- Support VMware virtualization, including resource allocation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate storage and network configurations needed for data protection.
- Monitor backup activities, troubleshoot failures, and perform restores as needed.
- Implement security and compliance requirements across data protection and virtualization platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and run books.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise backup technologies (Data Domain, Avamar, or equivalent).
- 4+ years of VMware virtualization experience.
- Active Secret clearance and onsite availability at Fort Knox, KY.
- Strong storage and networking fundamentals.
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Preferred Relevant Dell backup or VMware certifications.
- Experience in DoD environments and knowledge of DISA or RMF.
