About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze moderately complex business objectives and engage closely with stakeholder to define product requirements and ensure implementation of product vision.
- Own the end-to-end product strategy from concept to production.
- Research and analyze complex business system issues and develop recommendations to improve processes.
- Lead meetings to surface issues, identify fixes, and advance projects continuously communicating product objectives.
- Build a backlog of product features ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated and prioritized.
- Collaborate with technical teams to build modular and reusable solutions.
- Simulate and test process systems improvements considering usability and industry standards.
- Approve each feature and continuously communicate with technical and business teams to ensure adherence to product vision and to proactively evaluate risks.
- Drive sprint and release plans and communicate changes to business teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with UM intake or prior authorization workflows (including intake channels, routing, or turnaround management)
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and integrations (FHIR, HL7, X12, APIs, EHR systems)
- Exposure to automation and advanced tools supporting UM (rules engines, AI tools like NLP or RPA, auto-approval capabilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent work experience.
- Deep knowledge of specified product domain and industry trends.
- Knowledge of Information Technology.
- Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach experience preferred.
