About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze moderately complex business objectives and engage closely with stakeholder to define product requirements and ensure implementation of product vision.
  • Own the end-to-end product strategy from concept to production.
  • Research and analyze complex business system issues and develop recommendations to improve processes.
  • Lead meetings to surface issues, identify fixes, and advance projects continuously communicating product objectives.
  • Build a backlog of product features ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated and prioritized.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to build modular and reusable solutions.
  • Simulate and test process systems improvements considering usability and industry standards.
  • Approve each feature and continuously communicate with technical and business teams to ensure adherence to product vision and to proactively evaluate risks.
  • Drive sprint and release plans and communicate changes to business teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with UM intake or prior authorization workflows (including intake channels, routing, or turnaround management)
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and integrations (FHIR, HL7, X12, APIs, EHR systems)
  • Exposure to automation and advanced tools supporting UM (rules engines, AI tools like NLP or RPA, auto-approval capabilities)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of specified product domain and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach experience preferred.
