About the role

  • Lead the DevSecOps team to drive automation and security across developer platforms (GitLab, Coder, Confluence, GitHub Copilot, JFrog Artifactory) hosted in AWS.
  • Guide teams in adopting DevSecOps best practices, automates the DevOps lifecycle, and advances platform architecture using modern tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Python).
  • Champion secure coding, automated security testing, and observability, ensuring compliance and resilience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevSecOps engineers, guiding best practices and standards across development teams.
  • Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
  • Provide standardized CI/CD templates and drive pipeline improvements.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable solutions for application refactoring and cloud migration.
  • Integrate security scanning, vulnerability management, and automated security testing (e.g., Chainguard Container Images) into CI/CD workflows.
  • Enhance observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, compliance testing, and resilience improvements.
  • Develop automation scripts and applications in Python, Go, and NodeJS to improve CI/CD and security processes.
  • Collaborate with Application Security and Platform Engineering teams to implement secure coding practices and early vulnerability remediation.
  • Guide adoption of microservices and infrastructure automation.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies (including MLOps and AI platforms) to strengthen security and efficiency. Ensure compliance with partner security requirements and internal standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
  • 5 – 7 years of related experience or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Terraform, and Artifactory.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, and NodeJS for automation and tooling.
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and automated security testing.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace).
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of Ansible or similar automation tools.
  • Exposure to SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of MLOps, AI platforms, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, compliance, and resilience planning.
