About the role
- Develops and implements the strategic marketing/sales plan for employer groups/brokers/consultants
- Accountable for sales staff and manages distribution of sales products
- Achieves membership, revenue and profitability objectives for sales portfolio
- Provides direction and leadership in the formation and execution of sales, retention and enterprise marketing strategies
- Expands awareness of Health Net capabilities
- Creates demand for company products among future members
- Manages department by establishing goals and standards that meet/exceed customer expectations
- Directs and oversees execution of individual goal and development plans
- Fosters internal and external relationships through sales meetings and account calls
- Develops annual business plan to meet health Plan’s objectives
- Grows desirable market share and transforms underperforming markets
- Implements structured sales processes and establishes monitoring systems
- Develops best practices based on local market conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- MBA/post-graduate degree desirable
- Minimum five years management experience
- 9+ years of sales or broker experience in a managed care setting
- Experience with a full range of healthcare products
- Active health insurance license required
- Requires state insurance license required. Requirements vary state by state.
- Travel: Minimum 75% in the marketplace, overnight travel may be required based on territory/marketplace.
