About the role
- Develops and implements media strategies and public relations plans
- Engages and educates external audiences on Centene's mission
- Promotes regional and national awareness of Centene's policies, values, and mission
- Monitors and analyzes industry and competitive trends
- Supports communications project and workflow management
- Develops target media lists and drafts media pitches
- Builds and maintains relationships with key media partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field required
- 2+ years of Media relations, public relations, or communications experience required
- Experience working in a managed care, insurance, or healthcare environment strongly preferred
- Public or media relations agency experience and experience with monitoring tools is a plus
