About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and maintain monthly estimates of inpatient incurred but not reported (IP IBNR) expenses
- Collaborate with the Utilization Management team to review inpatient authorization data and establish a recurring validation process
- Develop and maintain standardized review processes and reporting for inpatient spend
- Analyze key drivers contributing to budget and forecast variances
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for IP spend
- Oversee financial and business analyses based on information from various sources and financial reports
- Interpret financial reports for management team
- Review and evaluate analyses and recommend appropriate actions to senior management
- Prepare budgets and forecasts and analyze financial results related to IP claims and authorization
- Monitor legislative and political developments affecting the business unit from a financial perspective
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of accounting, financial analysis or finance related experience
- Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff
- Experience in public accounting, operations, financial analysis preferred
- Experience in healthcare insurance strongly preferred
- CPA preferred
