About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead analytic service delivery by aligning strategic objectives with tool and capability development and deployment of analytic teams
  • Lead advanced population health analytics, outcomes measurement, and managed care value analyses
  • Support market engagement, pre-request-for-proposal strategy, and data-driven proposal development
  • Direct planning and execution of enterprise-wide analytics projects and strategic initiatives
  • Translate business goals into actionable analytics solutions
  • Provide senior leadership support and partnership between business and technical partners
  • Interface with leadership to communicate strategic intent to analytic teams
  • Prioritize team work and manage executive customer expectations and relationships
  • Align team goals and resource deployment with strategic objectives and the needs of multiple health plans and corporate stakeholders
  • Serve as a primary domain contact, escalation point, and accountability owner for customer partnership and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with leaders across analytic domains to align business needs and co-develop analytic solutions
  • Mentor, manage, and continuously develop leaders and analysts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, leading an organization, creating strategic plans, and operationalizing functional teams
  • Experience in strategic planning and solutioning preferred
  • Broad exposure to statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques and their application in a business performance environment
  • Working knowledge of SQL/querying languages
  • Experience with table creation and indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
  • Preferred knowledge of Python and R
  • Knowledge of basic statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis preferred
  • Experience in change management processes and procedures preferred
  • Preferred knowledge of modern business intelligence and visualization tools including Microsoft Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability mentoring and training people leaders across multiple areas of focus
  • Experience with Medicaid, value-based care, population health programs, or government healthcare procurements preferred
  • Experience with predictive modeling, outcomes measurement, total cost of care analysis, or risk adjustment preferred
  • Demonstrated success building or modernizing an analytics capability, improving automation, and establishing performance measures preferred
