About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

As the Coding Manager you will serve as the leadership point-person for coding staff.
Responsible for directing, supporting, monitoring, and coordinating CentraCare system coding and abstracting processes.
Accountable for ensuring the completion, accuracy, and compliance of all the coding functions.
Promoting a positive and productive work environment, tailoring and/or creating coding policies and procedures.
Developing process improvement initiatives.
Engages in meetings and gap analysis of new services assisting with implementation as necessary.
Provides educational support to staff and physicians as necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED and post-secondary education in HIM/Coding or a medical related program required.
3 years to 5 years at a minimum of previous coding experience and working knowledge of insurance and third-party billing.
1 years to 2 years at a minimum of lead or supervisory experience.
Current credentialing by AAPC or AHIMA required.
Previous EMR experience preferred.

Salary range: $68,952.00-$103,438.40 per year
