About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform basic computation, data entry, and review of materials submitted by external customers
- Follow up with customers regarding questions received by phone, email, or fax
- Apply GNPPN Help Desk roles, responses, and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and projects assigned by management
- Identify and report process or system concerns and errors
- Participate in team and department meetings, trainings, and activities
- Review pharmacy enrollment packets and supplemental materials, including licenses, registrations, insurance policies, and program addendums
- Contact pharmacies to collect and process licenses and other materials
- Provide telephone coverage for managed care and claims processing issues
- Update the network database and create and distribute network materials and communications
- Identify and distribute MAC requests received by email
- Enter requests and additions, including online submission and outcome communications
- Submit weekly research requests to PBMs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of one (1) year of proven results in similar subject matter functions within the pharmaceutical industry
- First-hand knowledge and understanding of team-specific questions from incoming Help Desk inquiries
- Well-rounded knowledge of business transactions, accounting principles, and market awareness
- Training, education, and/or experience demonstrating professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and communication
- Successful execution of duties with increasing responsibility and impact
- Customer service skills to resolve everyday issues and prevent escalations or complaints
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work interdependently with team members
- Effective and professional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication
- Introductory computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, or similar database programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook features, including email file retention and retrieval, contact management, and calendar/task tracking
- Preferred working knowledge or experience of pharmacy benefit management companies and retail pharmacy operations
