About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Rotate to different Member Centers and departments to meet intermittent staffing needs
  • Provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact CEFCU
  • Demonstrate a needs-based sales and service focus measured through Member Center and Corporate Balanced Scorecards
  • Determine members’ financial needs through strategic questioning
  • Educate and cross-sell CEFCU, CEFCU Investment Services (CIS), and CEFCU Financial Services (CFS) products and services
  • Utilize Creating Member Loyalty (CML) skills
  • Process transactions, resolve account issues, and answer member questions
  • Use third-party systems for check scanning and transaction verification
  • Comply with government regulations and CEFCU policies
  • Maintain cash drawer limits and achieve performance goals
  • Promote member satisfaction and a professional image
  • Work as part of a team, maintain scheduling flexibility, and contribute to office duties
  • Provide the highest quality experience for internal and external members
  • Work Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m., and Saturdays, 8:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m.; take a weekday off when working Saturday

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0–2 years’ experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) under the SAFE Act
  • Successful completion of the formal Member Assistant Training module
  • Ability to balance cashier’s checks and money orders
  • Ability to perform receptionist duties, including telephone etiquette, lobby tracking, brochure and rate updates
  • Punctual and regular attendance
  • Flexible working hours to meet various department needs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Personal vehicle insurance
  • Saturdays are required, with a weekday off
  • Applicable college courses and/or commensurate experience preferred
