About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a day-to-day trusted accountant for a dedicated portfolio of nonprofit clients
- Manage general ledger maintenance
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Execute accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Produce timely financial packages and board-level reporting
- Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings
- Assist with client onboarding
- Provide clear, actionable financial guidance to nonprofit leadership teams
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams in a client-facing capacity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mid-level experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced spreadsheet skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Curious, framework-oriented problem-solving approach
- Passion for building trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders
- Sage Intacct experience is a big plus
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours
- For remote work, residence in an eligible state: Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, or Texas
