About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a day-to-day trusted accountant for a dedicated portfolio of nonprofit clients
  • Manage general ledger maintenance
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Execute accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
  • Produce timely financial packages and board-level reporting
  • Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings
  • Assist with client onboarding
  • Provide clear, actionable financial guidance to nonprofit leadership teams
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams in a client-facing capacity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mid-level experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Curious, framework-oriented problem-solving approach
  • Passion for building trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders
  • Sage Intacct experience is a big plus
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours
  • For remote work, residence in an eligible state: Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, or Texas
