About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Steward existing and develop new relationships with federal elected and appointed officials
- Project CEBA’s policy positions and influence actions of personal offices, committee staff, and officials
- Provide political and policy expertise to engage CEBA’s policy and legislative staff
- Gather and synthesize political intelligence using systems such as Monday.com and Quorum
- Develop advocacy talking points and help prepare testimony for CEBA leadership
- Attend political fundraising and policy coalition events as directed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required or equal and equivalent work experience
- 5 years of Congressional or Administration experience OR 6 years of Government Affairs Experience with a trade association or energy-related company
- Working fluency in energy and natural resources policy
- An established significant and mature political network spanning both political parties
- Willingness to register as a federal lobbyist under the Lobbying Disclosure Act
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills
