About the role
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day collaboration with external development partners across multiple disciplines (art, animation, design, programming, QA, audio, etc.).
- Define outsourcing strategies in alignment with project goals and production plans.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external studios, ensuring mutual understanding of goals, deliverables, and production standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal producers, team leads, and directors to identify outsourcing needs and capacity gaps.
- Supervise the quality of outsourced work - including milestone reviews, feedback loops, and approvals.
- Support contract management and resource forecasting in cooperation with the production and business teams.
- Negotiate business terms and agreements with external partners in collaboration with the production and business teams.
- Identify risks and dependencies related to external development and proactively mitigate them.
- Foster efficient communication channels and continuous improvement of co-dev processes.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective tools, systems, workflows, and operational policies that enhance daily collaboration between internal and external teams.
- Drive process optimization and documentation to ensure scalability and efficiency in outsourcing operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in game development, including at least 2 years in production, outsourcing, or co-development leadership.
- Background in vendor management or business aspects of outsourcing.
- Solid understanding of production pipelines for at least one of the following: art, design, or programming (ideally more than one).
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple external partners simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and negotiation abilities.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to build trust-based relationships.
- Nice to have: Experience working with production tools such as Jira, Miro or equivalent.
