About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients, providing strategic tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
- Lead the delivery of complex tax engagements while maintaining exceptional client service and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Develop and implement innovative tax strategies that help clients achieve their business objectives and minimize tax exposure.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships by understanding business needs and identifying value-added solutions.
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, tax provisions, and other technical tax deliverables.
- Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and emerging developments, providing practical guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with leaders across assurance, advisory, and specialty tax practices to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, balancing priorities while maintaining high-quality work product.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including networking, proposal development, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
- Contribute to practice growth by helping drive recruiting, retention, training, and team development efforts.
- Partner with firm leadership to establish engagement strategies, staffing plans, and resource allocation decisions.
- Provide thought leadership on tax matters through client presentations, internal training sessions, and industry involvement.
- Utilize technology and process improvements to enhance efficiency, client experience, and overall service delivery.
- Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively advise clients and identify new opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 8 years experience in public accounting or related field
- 5 years supervisory
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on business needs
