About the role
- Review of all federal and state tax returns and K-1s and related filings
- Assist in gathering data and preparing schedules to be used in preparing tax returns
- Coordinate tax compliance processes with clients’ functional teams and clients’ external service providers
- Review quarterly and year-end estimates
- Assist in reviewing and responding to federal and state tax notices
- Support clients’ tax function’s operational processes
- Oversee, train and assist associate team members
- Able and willing to work with client personnel at client location, if needed
- Meet time restraints and deadlines
- Support lead person in charge of tax engagement
- Begin to build and develop quality relationships with clients
- Become proficient at tax research
- Assist with other projects as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- CPA candidates preferred
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
