About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Helping families involved with the Department of Child Services to enhance their parenting capacities
  • Conduct home visits and maintain case load as assigned
  • Complete documentation of visits within (1) business day
  • Conduct comprehensive family assessments
  • Develop and implement a Service Plan
  • Maintain case records and data system in accordance with agency policies
  • Attend mandated trainings, conferences, and community events
  • Connect families to resources that address their needs
  • Make appropriate referrals to government and community agencies
  • Complete documentation required for case closure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of community resources, case management, assessment and service planning, and problem solving with complex family needs
  • Understanding of DCS systems preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Intermediate-level of technology and software use to complete documentation and case work
