About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end to end operational and financial reporting for Ocean and Drayage freight.
Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to track spend, performance, and trends.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for freight spend.
Partner with Transportation stakeholders to explain variances, identify risks, and highlight improvement opportunities.
Support the Senior Manager with reporting and analysis for Linehaul, Store Delivery, and Pool Point networks.
Assist with ad hoc analysis, operational metrics, and executive level reporting.
Support the month end financial close process, including accruals, journal entries, and GL review.
Participate in periodic financial reviews and variance analysis.
Ensure reporting aligns with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Develop, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs and performance metrics.
Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards for operational and financial insights.
Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve reporting accuracy.
Leverage AI tools to provide enhanced insights.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of Finance and/or Accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivots, models, etc.)
SQL experience preferred; willingness to learn required
Experience with database management, including: updating and maintaining; ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and data visualization tools
Familiarity with Financial reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial modeling
Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
