About the role
- Establish and oversee the product integrity framework, including quality standards, testing protocols, and inspection processes.
- Ensure compliance with all global product safety regulations, labeling laws, and industry standards.
- Lead corrective action programs to address quality or compliance issues swiftly and effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of quality, compliance, and technical experts.
- Provide executive-level insights on product integrity risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to proactively monitor regulatory changes and industry developments.
- Partner with overseas quality teams and vendors to align on expectations, inspection results and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mitigate risks related to recalls, safety incidents, and reputational damage through preventive action and crisis management.
- Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Design to embed integrity standards early in the product lifecycle.
- Work with Sourcing and Supply Chain to ensure supplier capability, performance, and accountability.
- Collaborate with Sustainability/ESG teams to integrate responsible material use, traceability, and ethical sourcing into the integrity framework.
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends in defects, returns, and customer feedback, driving continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on product performance, compliance, and risk exposure.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence and integrity across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in product integrity, quality assurance, compliance, or technical product leadership, preferably in retail, apparel or consumer goods.
- Proven track record of leading large teams and managing global supplier relationships.
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory standards (CPSC, CPSIA, REACH, Prop 65, etc.).
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive change in a complex, fast-paced environment.
