About the role
- Manage and maintain all color processes
- Direct and update color certification programs
- Research and present trend and color stories
- Deliver timely lab dip and 1st bulk color approvals
- Promptly file all lab dips & bulk systematically
- Responsible for maintaining and managing the Color Library
- Collaborate with design on color matching market samples
- Partner with buyers & design on incoming color issues
- Create digital color palettes in PLM
- Order color standards & maintain the color inventory
- Lead & orchestrate special projects to support strategic color initiatives
Requirements
- 4-year College degree preferred.
- 7+ years (post-graduation) related experience in color evaluation and development
- Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
- Extensive knowledge of color science, ability to evaluate results and perform analysis of the colorimetric data, reflectance curves and dye recipes
- Experience using color QC software and spectrophotometer
- Excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills
- High sense of urgency and initiative
- Proven experience building working relationships with cross-functional teams
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Flex PLM experience is highly preferred.
