Key responsibilities & impact

Support electrical engineering activities across EMALS and/or AAG systems including design, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system improvement efforts
Work with development, system engineering, and production teams to accurately identify, characterize, resolve, document, address, and track electrical deficiencies
Power factor analysis and correction
Harmonic modeling and analysis
Grounding analysis
Short-circuit investigations
Arc-flash studies
Contribute to technical presentations, electrical work products, requirements, designs, and written communications
Create, review, and execute hardware design documentation
Create, develop, review, and interpret engineering drawings of complex parts and systems
Research and develop product specifications and interface requirements
Resolve complex electrical compatibility and interface design issues
Evaluate components to determine electrical performance impacts
Communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions clearly and effectively
Interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans
Occasionally support in-service teams on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
0–6 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op programs, or academic projects with strong emphasis on hands-on electrical equipment
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government security clearance
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
