About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take proactive ownership of legal projects and initiatives end-to-end, ensuring close alignment with the Head of Legal and key business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary legal partner for Marketing, Product, B2B, and other internal teams on commercial contracting, product launches, and strategic decision-making.
  • Apply critical thinking and common sense to assess complex or novel issues, structuring practical solutions and driving them to resolution alongside stakeholders (Privacy, Customer Support, PR, Public Affairs, Business development etc.).
  • Build and scale efficient cross-departmental processes, including drafting policies, creating contract templates, and delivering practical guidance to non-legal teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging legislative and regulatory developments across all of carVertical’s core markets.
  • Manage and collaborate with external legal counsel across our international jurisdictions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A lawyer with a minimum 4+ years experience in-house or litigation/commercial field in a law firm.
  • Advanced experience in commercial contracting, also ability to evaluate product, marketing and other teams initiatives
  • Good at legal risk assessment and at the same time considering business strategy and keeping your eye on the bigger picture
  • Experience in delivering practical advice and operating within ambiguity being tactical and strategic - a lot of stuff is being done the first time
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements as well as to prioritize different projects while working with multiple teams
  • Solidly proficient in communicating with both technical and management levels
  • A team-player who’s happy working in an environment with plenty of cross-departmental collaboration
  • Committed to personal and professional growth, as well as to sharing best practices with others, finding ways to spread learning across the organization
  • Passionate about tech-driven businesses
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
  • Note: Membership at a local bar association is not required
