About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You are the strategic and operational leader responsible for defining and executing Carrefour Belgium's credit and collection strategy.
  • You build sustainable and financially sound partnerships with franchise partners, suppliers and customers.
  • You drive operational excellence across the entire Order-to-Cash process.
  • You define and optimize the financial strategy, credit policy and collection approach towards franchisees, suppliers and various customers.
  • You determine credit limits and methods to cover financial risks (such as guarantees and credit insurance).
  • You systematically support franchise partners on financial parameters at every stage of the collaboration.
  • You are ultimately responsible for the timely, accurate and legally compliant issuance and processing of all outgoing invoices.
  • You continuously optimize the end-to-end (E2E) invoicing process.
  • You implement the factoring agreement with the bank and prepare finance committees together with Regional and Zone Directors.
  • You lead, motivate and develop a team of 15 professionals in line with Carrefour's leadership model.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You hold a university master's degree in economics or accounting and have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation and taxation.
  • You have a strong ability to successfully collaborate with independent entrepreneurs (franchisees).
  • You possess excellent communication skills and can translate complex financial files into clear summaries for non-financial stakeholders.
  • You effortlessly connect financial data to operational reality and convert them into concrete action plans.
  • You stand out for your strategic vision, results orientation and organizational skills.
  • Given the national context of the role, you are fully bilingual (Dutch and French).
