About the role
- Monitor supply chains and shipments and ensure the accuracy of orders and shipping documents.
- Monitor and track shipments to achieve on time arrival and efficient offloading
- Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the warehouse team to manage stock.
- Prepare shipping documents and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- A first degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or Management Studies, Business Administration with specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Operations Management from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2-3 years practical experience
- Sound knowledge of local and regional Import/Export regulations as well as purchasing practices and procedures.
- Experience with coordinating imports from multiple regions and tracking and monitoring shipments.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills and proven ability to negotiate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Excel at the intermediary level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal team members at all levels and external partners.
- High level of creativity, initiative, flexibility and performs well under pressure
- Moderate need for supervision and superior capacity for execution
- Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
