Associate Behavioral Health Medical Director
CareSourceAssociate Medical Director providing training and consultation in behavioral health. Supports staff with clinical reviews and regulatory functions in a remote capacity.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide training, clinical consultation, and clinical case reviews for staff
- Participate in peer-to-peer discussions
- Provide provider education, training and performance evaluations
- Participate in development of policies and procedures
- Conduct prior authorization medical reviews and consultations
- Support regulatory and accreditation functions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of an accredited Medical Degree program as a medical doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine is required
- Successful completion of a residency training program in psychiatry is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience is required
- Experience in safe prescribing is required
- Managed care medical review/medical director experience is preferred
- Basic Microsoft Word skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act in the company’s best interest
