About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements within the US Healthcare domain.
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional requirements, data requirement documents, and supporting artifacts.
- Perform data analysis using strong SQL (Snowflake or similar platforms) to validate requirements, analyze source data, and support business questions.
- Analyze healthcare claims data (medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider) to identify trends, data gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business needs into clear data requirements, including field definitions, logic, transformations, and business rules.
- Work closely with data engineering, reporting, and analytics teams to ensure accurate implementation of business and data requirements.
- Support UAT, data validation, and reconciliation by validating outputs against business rules and source data.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
- Provide explanations and walkthroughs of data outputs and metrics to business users to support informed decision‑making.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in the US Healthcare industry.
- Strong experience working with health insurance data, including any of them:
- o Claims adjudication
- o Eligibility and enrollment
- o Provider data
- o Clinical data
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and requirement confirmation (Snowflake or similar data platforms).
- Proven experience in requirement analysis and BRD preparation, with the ability to clearly articulate business and data needs.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
