About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize teams, develop plans, and facilitate project execution to achieve organizational goals
  • Lead Network-led and participant projects from initiation through completion
  • Implement projects on time and on budget, driving collaboration, accuracy, and risk escalation
  • Serve as first line of contact for project leads and mitigate risks or resolve critical issues
  • Follow corporate project life-cycle, meeting, Agile, change-management, and governance guidelines
  • Secure acceptance of project deliverables and support project-team governance
  • Manage project budgets, resources, monthly budget reconciliation, and enterprise resource reporting
  • Ensure projects close within 45–60 days of go-live
  • Work with vendors to keep projects on schedule
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators and Cost-Benefit Analysis
  • Ensure stakeholder communication plans are complete
  • Monitor BCBSA deliverables, Network acquisitions/mergers, and audit activity for regulatory accuracy and timeliness
  • Build scorecards, dashboards, reports, process flows, and value-stream maps
  • Document current business and data flows and analyze data
  • Create data visualizations, baseline metrics, data-collection plans, pilots, quality controls, and training plans
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight time constraints with minimal oversight

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of Project Management work and/or Network System development experience
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams strongly desired
  • Experience leading significant initiatives requiring change management leadership desired
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver reports and presentations
  • Ability to influence colleagues and build relationships
  • Ability to guide and inspire team members to deliver work on time and on budget
  • Ability to lead discussions with vague details or little direction, identify ideal states, and conduct gap analysis
  • Self-motivated, quick, and assertive
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in an ambiguous environment
  • Comfort with change and complexity in dynamic environments
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and shift between big-picture and critical details
  • Ability to balance people, process, and technology factors and analyze complex business relationships
  • Access Reporting skills
  • Knowledge of BCBSA Network regulatory requirements
  • Project management knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Adobe, Crystal Reports, SAS, and similar applications
  • Current project management and insurance industry trends and technology knowledge through professional associations, trade journals, networking, training, and seminars
