About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for sitting with assigned patients and works with the nurse to assist with patient safety as well as offer stimuli to the patient
- Communicating with every person involved in the patient’s care
- Utilizes crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Assists in maintaining patient safety to include the proper use of equipment and supplies which may include restraints
- Participates in educational and Performance Improvement activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Psychology/social work training preferred
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
- Strong observation and intervention skills with the patients and family members
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Required license: BLS - American Heart Association
