About the role
- Develop, implement and update the PGR – Risk Management Program, ensuring hazard analysis, risk assessment and definition of control measures.
- Supervise and prepare technical documents such as LTCAT – Technical Report of Working Environmental Conditions.
- Support the preparation and review of other environmental programs and reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Regulatory Standards (NRs).
- Monitor legal updates, advise managers and promote corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and provide guidance for trainings required by applicable NRs.
- Plan and conduct internal safety audits.
- Identify non-conformities, opportunities for improvement and critical risks.
- Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) related to health and safety.
- Provide technical analyses for the investigation of accidents and incidents.
- Oversee critical activities, field inspections and work permits.
- Serve as a technical reference for managers and operational teams.
- Participate in the company’s strategic planning process.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives, investments and safety-related projects.
- Ensure integration of safety management with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the Ministry of Labor Regulatory Standards (NRs).
- Experience with PGR, LTCAT, reports and occupational health and safety programs.
- Ability to conduct internal audits and compliance assessments.
- Proficiency in risk analysis, accident statistics, investigation and control measures.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, goal management and performance indicators.
- Ability to read and interpret technical standards (ABNT, ISO) applicable to safety.
- Previous experience in occupational health and safety.
- Education: Degree in Engineering with postgraduate specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering.
- Active registration with CREA.
- Intermediate English.
