About the role
- Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable deliveries.
- Enable development teams with self-service tools and automation to reduce manual operations.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and architects to improve delivery speed and system reliability.
- Support the design and operation of cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to provision and manage environments consistently.
- Ensure environments are reproducible, scalable, and aligned with security and compliance requirements.
- Improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Implement and evolve monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing strategies.
- Participate in incident response, post-incident analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Define SLOs, SLIs, and operational best practices.
- Embed security by design into pipelines and infrastructure (DevSecOps).
- Support access control practices, secrets management, and secure configuration.
- Collaborate with security teams to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a DevOps culture: automation, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify bottlenecks in development and delivery processes and propose pragmatic solutions.
- Document processes, standards, and architectural decisions.
- Mentor and support teams in adopting DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with automation and scripting (any language).
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing or operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, containers, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logs, traces).
- Solution-oriented mindset, comfortable in ambiguous or evolving environments.
- Strong collaborator, able to work across engineering, product, and operations.
- Pragmatic approach to trade-offs between speed, reliability, security, and cost.
- Ownership mindset — accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.
- Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
