About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently prepare regulatory reports and documentation
Collaborate with various departments to implement and maintain compliance
Develop procedures and training manuals for compliance processes
Respond and research high level inquiries from internal teams and regulatory authorities regarding compliance matters
Conduct regular reviews of mortgage files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Keep abreast of changes in mortgage laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 4-6 years proven experience in mortgage compliance, processing and/or underwriting within the financial industry
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to RESPA, TILA, TRID, NMLS Call Report, HMDA, and Fair Lending
Filing regulatory reports including the NMLS Call Report, HMDA, and Fair Lending
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, QuestSoft, NContracts, and other relevant mortgage software
