About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collect, label, and store petroleum product and chemical samples according to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all sample retention activities meet environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, including proper labeling, safe handling, and secure storage.
Retrieve and prepare retain samples for testing or inspection as requested.
Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure samples are stored in the correct containers, and that all required documentation is filed and readily accessible.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure that sample retain storage areas are well-maintained and that adequate supplies are available for sample collection and storage.
Be able to pick up samples from local offices as needed.
Other job duties as defined.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a laboratory setting, a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
