About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, evaluate, and track potential bidding opportunities
Review and analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) packages
Prepare complete cost estimates including quantity takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, tools/consumables, transportation, and temporary living arrangements
Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for integration into project estimates
Conduct site visits to verify scope, drawings, and logistical considerations
Lead turnover meetings with Project Managers for successful bids
Support Project Management in pricing change orders and additional work
Maintain estimating software and cost history databases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction required
Four (4) years of related project management or estimating experience required
Experience preparing budgets, cost estimates, and project financial analyses
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project-related software
Experience with USACE, NAVFAC or other federal government branches
Valid state driver’s license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Company’s Driving Policy
Ability to pass drug, driving and background screenings
Experience with HCCS “HeavyBid” and or Timberline / Sage software preferred
