About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recommends, implements, and monitors EHS legal requirements, procedures, and programs to ensure 100% compliance
  • Prepares and submits required regulatory reports including environmental quality reports
  • Prepares, coordinates, and implements National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and air quality permits
  • Serves as the EHS lead for new property and business acquisitions and conducts due diligence assessments
  • Partners with Engineering and Operations on capital projects to ensure EHS aspects are incorporated
  • Serves as the primary liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies regarding compliance
  • Develops and conducts EHS training
  • Responds to emergencies including spills and system upsets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Geology, Natural Science or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Three years of increasingly responsible experience working as an analyst or administrator in environment, health and safety, or related field
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid California Driver License
