About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • File Travel Authorizations and Expense Reports, ensuring proper documentation is submitted for all travel claims and expenses.
  • Ensure all travel activities comply with DoD regulations, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), and company policies.
  • Work with Program Travel team and International Business Office on issues related to CONUS and OCONUS travel.
  • Assist with implementing new travel policy at the program level as required to capture lessons learned and implement best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on travel compliance requirements.
  • Interface with program management travel authorization and expense report approvers to deconflict issues.
  • Work with PM, Project managers, and finance team on budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of travel documentation.
  • Work with shipyards to file visit requests.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizen capable of acquiring and maintaining a DoD Secret security clearance
  • High School diploma or equivalent of 5+ years of related professional experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with verbal and written communications.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (desired)
  • 2+ years of professional experience with degree (desired)
  • Experience with government travel and JTR knowledge (desired)
