About the role
- Provide financial support and coordination on a complex contract/program
- Support PM staff with complex financial analysis and reporting requirements
- Serve as lead for cost variance analysis and reporting, monthly corporate forecast, EACs, cost baselines, risks and opportunities
- Maintain contract budgets and support portfolio of projects as an individual contributor
- Utilize corporate systems (Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, Hyperion, SmartView, etc.) to obtain financial data for analysis
- Support development of annual operating plan and review of cost, funding, labor charging, forecasting, and internal reporting
- Support cash management including timely invoicing and revenue recognition
- Assist in period-closing activities and support accurate and timely analysis of financial performance
- Support development of accurate and timely monthly status reports
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3+ years of related (technical project support or management) experience
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively handle and complete multiple tasks
- Displays aptitude for learning and supporting financial planning, monitoring program requirements, and ensuring compliance with government and customer financial standards
- Ability to learn and utilize various IT systems
- Desired: Experience with Deltek Costpoint, PowerBI, Hyperion, SmartView, IBM Cognos and PowerPoint
- Desired: Familiarity with the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation)
