About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct a variety of data analyses on the performance of laboratory personnel systems, STEM outreach programs, technology transfer, infrastructure, and federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs)
Respond to client requests or proactively identify data needs
Determine the most suitable data systems for acquiring required information
Process acquired data using big data platforms, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, DataBricks or Tableau for accuracy and relevance
Conduct quality assurance procedures, including cleaning, labeling, and grouping data appropriately
Develop visual representations of data to convey meaningful insights as per initial requirements
Utilize existing data and databases to fulfill requests, reducing reliance on field calls
Offer suggestions for refining data collection methods, minimizing repetitive queries, and enhancing precision

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of five (5) years of recent and relevant experience in Data Engineering Statistics or Data Analytics Program Management
Knowledge of DoD data systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Experience working in DoD RDTE enterprise (desired)
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R (desired)
Knowledge or experience with Qlik, Databricks, Tableau, or other analytical platforms (desired)
Experience utilizing DoD financial and contracting systems (desired)
Understanding of the PPBE system and processes (desired)
Knowledge of DoD FFRDC program management (desired)
