Provide database storage management to maintain and track database storage for reporting and trend analysis
Retain database backups for organizationally defined periods
Assist in developing off-site or off-Azure database backup strategies
Manage database communication software configuration, installation, and maintenance
Open, track, and manage database problems and incidents to resolution
Execute database creation, configuration, and refresh
Monitor databases including review of audit logs, alert logs, trace files, etc.
Provide support for database performance tuning, index generation/maintenance, and non-standard backups
Implement and administer database management tools across all instances
Define and execute database performance tuning scripts
Administer and monitor redundant database server implementations and failover services
Address vulnerabilities and apply patches/remediation steps

Requirements

US citizen with the ability to pass a Tier 2 MBI background investigation upon hire
7+ years of experience with Oracle databases and RMAN backups
Experience supporting financial management systems for large federal agencies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of Momentum Financials (desired)
Experience working in a government environment (desired)
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field (desired)
