About the role
- Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD tools.
- Develop detailed drawings, layouts, assemblies, and schematics in support of hardware systems
- Support configuration control by incorporating drawing changes and revisions.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards and program requirements.
- Maintain organized drawing packages and associated technical documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies.
- Support engineering change activities and documentation updates.
- Assist with preparation of drawing packages for fabrication, installation, or sustainment.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree
- minimum of 5 years of professional drafting experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for 2D technical drawings
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and assemblies
- Experience producing detailed mechanical and/or electrical drawings
- Experience working from engineering sketches, redlines, and verbal direction
- Familiarity with drawing revision processes and configuration control
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and program staff.
