About the role
- Responsible for a broad range of duties , with a strong focus on RF test environments, electronic component characterization, and hands-on technical work related to intelligence products.
- Conduct RF measurements using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Test and characterize electrical components, including IEDs and Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
- Integrate RF systems into Uncrewed Systems (Aerial, Ground, or Surface platforms).
- Analyze and reverse-engineer electronic circuits and components to develop device profiles.
- Generate schematics and design PCBs using CAD tools.
- Utilize IDE software and embedded platforms like Raspberry Pi and Arduino in development.
- Perform soldering, reworking, and debugging of PCBs and electronic components (through-hole, surface-mount, harnesses, cables).
- Develop and prototype custom circuits and electronics systems.
- Create technical reports and comprehensive documentation of testing, findings, and device performance.
- Apply a strong foundation in RF theory, practical electronics, and integrated circuit architectures to solve complex problems.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience in a radio frequency (RF) test environment and characterizing electronic components for intelligence products and reporting.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- A master’s degree in engineering or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
- Performing benchtop RF measurements using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other equipment.
- Uncrewed Systems (Aerial, Vehicle, Surface, etc.).
- Integrated development environment software (IDE) and Raspberry Pi, Arduino devices.
- Testing and characterizing electrical components of IEDs and/or Software Defined Radios (SDR).
- Demonstrated ability to produce technical reports on findings and develop device profiles.
- Experience in electronic schematic generation and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.
- Solid background in practical electronics and/or RF theory.
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated circuit architectures.
- Experience in reverse engineering electronic circuit boards and components.
- Experience with soldering and re-working electronic circuit boards and components (e.g. through-hole, surface mount, cable assemblies, wire harnesses).
- Active TS/SCI Clearance Required
- Must pass a comprehensive medical assessment.
