Assist in the design and modification of mechanical components and assemblies
Develop and update 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software
Support fabrication, fit checks, and mechanical integration activities
Participate in tolerance analysis and basic structural evaluations
Assist with development of build documentation and assembly instructions
Support ground testing and validation of mechanical assemblies
Help troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause analysis efforts
Assist in maintaining engineering documentation and configuration control
Collaborate with electrical, aerospace, and systems teams during integration efforts

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
Experience with 3D CAD modeling software
Foundational understanding of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a hands-on lab and fabrication environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance
Experience with prototyping, fabrication, or machine shop environments (desired)
Familiarity with composite materials or additive manufacturing (desired)
Exposure to structural analysis or FEA tools (desired)
Prior internship, lab research, or engineering project team experience (desired)
