About the role
- The Federal Sales Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts within the federal government sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key agency relationships, and working closely with OEM partners to deliver tailored technology solutions that meet agency requirements. Support CHESS, SEWP, GSA and other contract catalogs for our customers.
- Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute account strategies to expand CACI idt’s footprint within assigned federal agencies (Civilian, DoD, or Intel) as well as internal CACI programs, Contract Vehicles, etc.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with federal procurement officials, program managers, key decision-makers, along with CACI procurement teams, program managers, and internal engineering resources.
- Identify, qualify, and close IT product and services opportunities aligned to agency missions and procurement cycles.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle – from prospecting and pipeline development to quoting, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Assist in getting products and software identified and added to the contract catalogs and offerings.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, contracts, and operations teams to deliver compliant, competitive proposals.
- Engage with OEM and distribution partners to align on sales initiatives, pricing strategies, and demand generation activities.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM hygiene to track pipeline and performance.
- Stay informed on federal procurement trends, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in federal IT sales, preferably with a value-added reseller or systems integrator.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas within the federal market.
- Strong knowledge of federal procurement processes, acquisition cycles, and contract vehicles.
- Existing relationships with federal customers and key OEMs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and federal opportunity tracking tools (e.g., GovWin, SAM.gov).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
