About the role
- Examine data from various sources to provide insights into organization, mission/business processes, and information systems
- Design, document, and implement custom algorithms for data analysis and modeling
- Develop and optimize workflow processes for efficient data handling and analysis
- Work with large data sets for modeling, data mining, and research purposes
- Create and maintain databases and data systems
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
- Develop comprehensive reports and visual presentations to communicate findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science and analytics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3-8 years of experience in data analysis or a related field
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format
- Experience working with large and complex data sets
