- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions.
- Utilize SAFe Agile practices to deliver high-quality database features and enhancements.
- Ensure the security and integrity of database systems through best practices and your Security+ certification.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of database performance and reliability.
- Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing your expertise in Oracle database technologies.
- Create and maintain complex Oracle database schemas and structures.
- Implement and manage database security protocols in compliance with Security+ standards.
- Perform thorough database analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize queries.
- Utilize SQL Developer for database scripting, automation, and performance tuning.
- Manage database changes using GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Track and manage database-related tasks and projects in Jira.
- Conduct regular database health checks and troubleshooting to ensure system stability.
- Maintain comprehensive database documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
- Collaborate with application developers to seamlessly integrate database solutions.
- Perform database backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery planning.
- Keep current with Oracle database updates, patches, and new features.
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Contribute to the development of database standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Assist in the migration of databases to new environments or platforms as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer.
- Proven experience with SAFe Agile methodology.
- Proficiency in SQL Developer, Jira, and GitLab.
- Security+ certification or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with database security practices and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
