About the role
- Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow HAM, including workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, and custom applications related to hardware asset management
- Implement and maintain HAM capabilities such as asset lifecycle management, procurement, inventory, refresh, and disposal processes
- Develop and enhance Service Portal components for self-service asset requests, tracking, and reporting
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CMDB for all hardware assets, including CI relationships and attributes
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow HAM and external systems, inventory management systems and discovery tools
- Collaborate with ITAM and other business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and improve existing hardware asset management processes
- Identify opportunities for automation within the HAM lifecycle to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for the ServiceNow HAM module and related integrations
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, development guides, and test plans
Requirements
- 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)
- Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform development, including JavaScript, UI Actions, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows, and Flow Designer
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, and ITAM modules
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow HAM implementation and configuration
- Proficiency in integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and MID Servers
- Experience with Service Portal development
- Solid understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles, processes, and the hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, in-use, refresh, disposal)
- Familiarity with asset discovery methods and tools
