About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leads the design and implementation of a federated Marine Corps data environment leveraging the War Data Platform (WDP), Palantir Foundry, and Databricks.
Serves as a senior technical lead responsible for architecting scalable, interoperable, and mission-focused data solutions capable of operating across distributed and contested mission environments.
This role requires deep hands-on expertise in enterprise data engineering, platform integration, operational data workflows, and modern data architectures within complex Department of Defense ecosystems.
Design and implement a federated Marine Corps Foundry enterprise architecture supporting distributed mission operations from tactical edge to enterprise environments.
Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting structured and unstructured data ingestion, transformation, synchronization, and analytics.
Engineer interoperable data workflows across WDP, Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and other DoD enterprise systems.
Support secure data integration and operational workflows across classified, disconnected, intermittent, and low-bandwidth environments.
Design and implement enterprise data models, ontologies, governance frameworks, and operational data workflows.
Support real-time and near-real-time data synchronization across distributed mission environments.
Advise government leadership on enterprise data architecture strategy, scalability, resilience, interoperability, and modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with engineers, mission owners, platform teams, and operational stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical solutions.
Support DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, automation, and secure software/data delivery pipelines.
Enable AI/ML-ready data environments supporting operational analytics and future warfighting capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

**TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION** - Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations.
Experience working with customers, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the phone and/or in person.
Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.
Experience writing technical solutions and commercial knowledgebase articles.
Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and consistent resolution of IT problems.
Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in military training and education.
Direct participation in real-world operations is desired.
Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate intuitive problem-solving skills, and allow for flexible scheduling.
