About the role
- The focus of the role is on the design and implementation of reporting:
- Design and development of a scalable data platform solution in Databricks.
- Data integration into the company-wide data lake using a Medallion architecture.
- Building a high-performance data model for reporting while adhering to company-wide IT requirements (deployment across multi-tier environments, quality gates).
- Implement optimization measures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Documentation of architectural decisions, processes and project outcomes.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with Databricks in designing and implementing Data Engineering solutions (data modeling, ETL, orchestration of loading processes)
- Deep understanding of layered data models (e.g. Medallion)
- Experience in developing authorization/access control concepts
- Knowledge of Continuous Ingestion / Continuous Development
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms
- Solution-oriented, structured working style
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITIL)
- Experience in agile projects, particularly Scrum
- Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
