About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate the corporate Tax Management and Tax Intelligence area, responsible for compliance of all direct and indirect tax operations across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Serve as the focal point to lead internal Tax Reform committees, mapping impacts and structuring the business's systemic transition.
- Provide direct leadership to the tax team, ensuring accuracy of complex tax calculations, mitigation of regulatory risks, and delivering high-level consultative support to senior leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate and support leadership in internal Tax Reform committees, ensuring mapping of operational, financial and systemic impacts (IBS, CBS and IS); oversee comparative scenario analyses and implement proposals for preventive restructurings to adapt to the new regime.
- Ensure, review and be accountable for detailed calculation of Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ) and Social Contribution on Net Profits (CSLL) under Lucro Real, ensuring correct application of additions, exclusions and tax incentives.
- Coordinate comprehensive calculation of indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ISS) and withholding taxes (IRRF, CSRF, ISS, INSS), ensuring maximum accuracy.
- Manage and coordinate the PerDcomp flow, focusing on compensation strategy and recovery of credits; control tax liabilities and management of tax aging.
- Ensure excellence in delivery and review of complex ancillary obligations (ECF, ECD, EFD-Contributions, EFD-Reinf, DCTF), ensuring data reconciliation (Tax vs. Accounting currency); act as the reference in responding to tax audits and external audits, leading administrative defenses and technically robust responses to notices.
- Control contingencies, judicial deposits and tax provisions in accordance with accounting standards, identify Tax Planning and fiscal efficiency opportunities that generate positive direct impact on the P&L.
- Coordinate ERP parameterization and tax solutions, ensuring business rules are up-to-date and automated; prepare executive reports and tax burden KPIs to support board decision-making.
- Ensure that all tax operations, billing and configurations are strictly aligned with rules and regulations of healthcare and hospital regulatory agencies (ANVISA and ANS).
- Be responsible for people management decisions including hiring, termination, leave, timekeeping, promotions, transfers, etc., identifying training and development needs, promoting performance management and feedback, interacting with Human Resources to apply policies, fostering a motivating environment for team members and acting as an internal reference for business areas, translating complex legislation into practical and agile solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law or Business Administration.
- Postgraduate degree, MBA or specialization in Tax Management, Tax Law, Tax Planning or related areas.
- Strong immersion and focus on practical studies of the impacts of the Tax Reform.
- Knowledge of data platforms such as Databricks/others and SQL will be a differential for automating tax routines.
- Experience in team management and coordination of tax/fiscal area.
- Previous experience in a Hospital, Health Insurance Operator, Medical Cooperatives, Health Insurance or Health Benefits Administrator.
