About the role
- Deliver a mix of site-based and office-based tasks across a variety of schemes.
- Manage Phase I and Phase II ground investigations, remediation activities, and site operations.
- Log exploratory holes, sample soil and water, monitor groundwater, and record results to UK Standards.
- Compile desk-study information, schedule lab testing, analyse data, and prepare reports.
- Oversee groundworks such as earthworks, foundations, and ground improvement operations.
- Coordinate with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors to keep projects running smoothly.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience as a Geo-environmental Consultant / Engineering Geologist or in ground investigation.
- A relevant degree (Geosciences, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Geotechnics, etc.) – MSc welcome but not essential.
- Strong IT and report-writing skills.
- Experience logging exploratory holes, sampling soil and water, and monitoring groundwater to UK Standards.
- Experience managing Phase I and Phase II ground investigations, remediation activities, and site operations.
- Ability to compile desk-studies, schedule lab testing, analyse data, and prepare reports.
- Experience overseeing groundworks (earthworks, foundations, ground improvement) and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and desire to work towards Chartership.
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues; proactive, can-do mindset.
