About the role
- Conduct investment research and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Support the due diligence process for new investments, including financial, operational, and competitive analysis.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and provide ongoing analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos, pitch decks, and presentations for the investment committee and clients.
- Evaluate public and private investment opportunities in equities, fixed income, alternatives, or private equity, depending on the firm’s focus.
- Track market developments and news related to current and prospective investments.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, senior analysts, and external advisors to support strategic investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or master’s in finance a plus).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, asset management, or a similar investment-focused role.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, LBO, IRR, sensitivity analysis, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and presentation tools like PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with financial data providers such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, or FactSet.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience preparing professional reports and presentations.
