About the role
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on AWS.
- Maintain and optimize VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
- Manage and configure Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways, and Application Load Balancers.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Develop and maintain Docker containers for various services.
- Manage ECS clusters and tasks, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Implement and optimize auto-scaling policies for ECS services.
- CI/CD and Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Monitor and improve the CI/CD pipelines for better efficiency and reliability.
- Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring tools for proactive infrastructure monitoring.
- Ensure proper logging and alerting mechanisms are in place.
- Perform regular health checks and maintenance of the systems.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable application deployments.
- Provide support for production environments and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a cloud-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like ECS or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Github actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
